Benjamin Brafman

Benjamin Brafman is the Principal of Manhattan-based firm Brafman & Associates, P.C. Brafman’s firm concentrates in criminal law with an emphasis on white-collar criminal defense.

Brafman, a former Assistant District Attorney in the New York County District Attorney’s Office, has been in private practice since 1980. He is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and was selected by New York magazine as the “Best Criminal Defense Lawyer in New York.” Brafman received the Norman Ostrow Award for outstanding achievement in the field of white-collar criminal defense from the New York Council of Defense Lawyers. He was also presented with the first Clarence Darrow Award for Distinguished Practitioner by the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Brafman has represented a wide range of high-profile celebrities, business leaders, lawyers, and professionals in complex criminal and civil fraud litigations throughout the United States.

He received his LL.M. in criminal justice from New York University School of Law.
