
Professor Deborah Denno received her B.A. from the University of Virginia, her M.A. from the University of Toronto, and her Ph.D. and J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was managing editor of the Pennsylvania Law Review. Prior to joining the Fordham Law faculty, she clerked for Anthony Scirica, now Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and was an associate at Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett in New York. Professor Denno is a national and international authority in many areas of criminal law, including the death penalty, the neuroscientific correlates of criminal intent and conduct, and criminal law defenses.
